Early Steps to Learning:

Is an early childhood education classroom for children ages 2-3 that encourages peer socialization, independence from parents, and development of language and communication skills. The staff of Early Steps to Learning believe that "play" is the child's work. By engaging in a hands-on and interactive approach to learning, children will become independent, self-confident, inquisitive, and enthusiastic learners.

Early Steps to Learning is a Demonstration Site for TACSEI (Technical Assistance Center on Social Emotional Intervention for Young Children). TACSEI takes research that shows which practices improve the social-emotional outcomes for young children. It also gives teachers strategies to teach young children to recognize and identify emotions. For more information visit http://nvtacsei.com/
